The Smart Wing

The Smart Wing

The Smart Wing is not a product, it is part of how the House thinks.

Graduate hiring has shifted — structurally, technologically and permanently.

Before a human reads an application or CV, it may already have been scored, ranked or removed. Selection begins earlier, and often without visibility (to anyone).

Recent reporting in The Times and wider business commentary has noted a sharp rise in AI-assisted applications, alongside tighter screening and earlier filtering.

Application volumes have increased.
Attention has not.

As a result, candidates are assessed more quickly, compared more closely, and judged on signals that are not always obvious.

Many capable individuals are not misaligned.
They are misread.

The Smart Wing examines how organisations now evaluate potential, how technology shapes selection, and how behaviour is interpreted within these systems.

The aim is not to over-engineer applications, but to ensure individuals are understood correctly within the environments they are entering.
